Rikei, in Partnership with necfru, Delivers the ‘necfru MAM’ Media Asset Management System to Ogaki Cable Television

Rikei Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter “Rikei”) is pleased to announce that, in partnership with necfru Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shunsuke Kusanagi; hereinafter “necfru”), it has delivered the “necfru MAM” media asset management system to Ogaki Cable Television Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ogaki City, Gifu; President & CEO: Tomonori Ikagawa; hereinafter “Ogaki Cable Television”).

Overview of “necfru MAM”

“necfru MAM” is a cloud-based media asset management system that streamlines the management, search, and sharing of media assets for broadcasting stations and media production environments. It allows users to filter media assets by program category, broadcast date, and region; preview video content; and securely share materials both internally and externally. The system is highly customizable to align with on-site workflows. By providing quick access to the required media assets from extensive collections, necfru MAM streamlines operations and significantly enhances productivity.

Background of Implementation

Managing a rapidly expanding library of in-house media content—such as news programs and local community programs—posed significant challenges for Ogaki Cable Television. Conventional file-sharing software made it difficult to filter by program category or broadcast date, and previewing the actual media content was cumbersome. As a result, production staff faced increased workloads, and opportunities to repurpose valuable past materials were often missed.

To address these issues, Ogaki Cable Television adopted necfru MAM, a solution that enables centralized management, advanced search, preview, and secure sharing of media assets. The system was flexibly customized to meet specific operational needs, effectively resolving real-world challenges faced by the production team.

Implementation Benefits

In the production environment, the search and sharing of media content have been significantly streamlined, resulting in a substantial improvement in operational efficiency. The reuse of past media content has been further encouraged, while ensuring secure and seamless operations.

Future Outlook

Building on this successful implementation, Rikei and necfru will continue to actively promote necfru MAM to cable TV operators, broadcasters, and other potential users.
