(Head Office: California, US; CEO: Joseph Zeto; hereinafter “Apposite”) that enables the simulation of several thousand network clients.

Background of the market

These days, the number of people teleworking, watching video over a network, and live streaming has been increasing. To avoid problems caused by a large number of people accessing a network, validating processing capability, capacity, transmission speed, and other performance features of VPN devices, which is necessary for remote access and video streaming servers.

Overview of new product

Netropy Traffic Generation can easily simulates situations where thousands of users flock to a site, enabling actual performance to be verified. To evaluate network and device performance, it can create several thousand network clients. It reproduces communications between an application and a server and evaluates the system’s communications capabilities. For example, it can evaluate the capabilities of a firewall when traffic is simulated, simulate the processing of a large volume of traffic with a VPN device, evaluate SD-WAN controllers, verify SD-WAN setups and configurations, and optimize SD-WAN implementation, etc.¹

¹ SD-WAN: Software-defined wide area network. This technology unifies WAN management. SD-WANs do not manage WANs by individual physical network device or WAN. They centrally manage networks by creating a virtual network using software.
