Rikei’s Multilingual Disaster Alert Service “Mail Notification Plus” Now Listed on Japan’s Digital Marketplace

Rikei Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter “Rikei”) is pleased to announce that Mail Notification Plus, its multilingual disaster information service, has been officially listed on the Digital Marketplace (DMP)—the cloud-based procurement platform for SaaS solutions operated by Japan’s Digital Agency.
This listing enables government agencies and municipalities across Japan to easily discover, evaluate, and procure the service through the DMP catalog.

Overview of Mail Notification Plus

Mail Notification Plus is a multilingual email distribution service specifically designed for local governments to deliver emergency alerts and public safety information such as disaster warnings, crime alerts, environmental notices, and fire safety updates to foreign residents within their jurisdictions. The service supports six languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. Users can select their preferred language at the time of registration, and all messages are automatically translated and delivered in that language. As an optional feature, Mail Notification Plus also offers a Staff Assembly Notification function, enabling the rapid mobilization of municipal staff during emergencies. Moreover, in municipalities equipped with J‑Alert receivers (Japan’s national early warning system), the service can be automatically linked to deliver multilingual J‑Alert messages in real time.

Overview of the Digital Marketplace (DMP)

The Digital Marketplace (DMP) is a procurement platform operated by Japan’s Digital Agency for government agencies and municipalities. It aims to promote diversification and streamline procurement specifically for cloud‑based software (SaaS) and related implementation support services. Only vendors that have entered into a master agreement with the Digital Agency can list their solutions on the DMP Catalog Site. Public entities can then browse, assess, and effortlessly procure the services they need through a simplified process.
