Rikei cooperate with demonstration test of "Railroad-Crossing Video Transmission System" using Artificial Intelligence (AI) ~ Contributing to development pursuit of Safe and Secure Infrastructure ~

Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter ”Rikei”) is pleased to announce that the company and Future Standard Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Satoshi Toriumi; hereinafter ”Future Standard”) will cooperate in the demonstration test of “railroad-crossing video transmission system” using AI that to be conducted by TOKYU TECHNO SYSTEM CO., LTD. ( Head Office: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa; President & CEO: Kazuo Murata; hereinafter “TOKYU TECHNO SYSTEM”). The purpose of the demonstration test is to improve safety of railroad crossing, and it will be conducted from November 24, 2018 (Sat) at No.1 railway-crossing of Yukigaya-otsuka Station.

The demonstration test aims to detect abnormalities at railway-crossing from the videos taken by surveillance cameras installed at railroad-crossings using the AI-based video analysis platform “SCORER”, and transmit the videos together with warnings to train drivers and operation managers in the vicinity, within two seconds from the abnormality detection.

As a solution vendor, Rikei will contribute to the pursuit of a safer and more secure infrastructure by cooperating in the demonstration test of this system that combines railway crossing surveillance cameras, video transmission technology, and AI technology.
