(Headquarters: North Carolina, USA; CEO: Timothy Dean Sweeney; hereinafter “Epic Games”)

Overview of “RIKEI Training Cloud”

As a certified service partner of Epic Games, Rikei has worked on many development projects for the enterprises so far. In addition, Rikei got a qualification as Unreal Authorized Training Center(*1) and have five Unreal Authorized Instructors currently, in response to the demand for in-house development.
Conventional Unreal Engine training requires preparation of expensive gaming PCs and have constraints on time and place, making it difficult to learn and test with Unreal Engine freely for a certain period. To address these issues, Rikei launches the “RIKEI Training Cloud,” which enables practical training on the cloud.

※1 Qualification as Unreal Authorized Training Center：Qualification that is allowed to offer various training programs provided by Epic Games. Rikei provides practical training contents with its own technical expertise.

Details of the Service

Linking with the cloud solution provided by Rikei’s partner MT Technologies Inc., enables to operate the Unreal Engine editor in the full cloud.

• Users can learn by actual operation of the Unreal Engine, regardless of device specifications.
• Users can conduct all operations including object placement, blueprint (*2) creation, and lighting(*3) reflection.
• Unlimited self-study time during the training sessions
• Extension plan for cloud usage period is available

※2 Blueprint：One of the features of the Unreal Engine for non-programmers to create complex and sophisticated gameplay systems.
※3 Lighting：The way light is applied in virtual environment, such as reflection, refraction and shadows.

Future Plan

Rikei will provide the cloud services for development work using Unreal Engine, as well as provide it as a part of the training program.
