Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Satoru Isaka; hereinafter “Rikei”), is pleased to announce that it has entered into a business alliance agreement with Ascentech K.K. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Noahiro Sato; hereinafter “Ascentech”) in strategic areas such as IT infrastructure, network, and software delivery products, in order to realize “work style reform” for customers.

Based on the alliance, the two companies are going to deepen exchanges including mutual technical support, and aim to expand current business and create new businesses through various sales collaborations.

Details of the alliance

1) Ascentech’s IT Infrastructure Business

Sales collaboration of network design and construction provided by Rikei in Ascentech’s IT infrastructure business.

2) Rikei’s System Solutions Business

Technology and sales collaboration for Numecent solutions, an application delivery technology provided by Ascentech, in the education segment of Rikei’s System Solutions Business.

Technology and sales collaboration for telework solutions based on virtual desktops provided by Ascentechin in the East and West Japan sales of Rikei’s System Solutions Business.

Technology collaboration and mutual sales collaboration for HPE server storage products in Rikei’s System Solutions Business.

Providing technical support for CAD VDI conversion by Ascentec in PTC’s CAD business in Rikei’s System Solution Business.

Main synergy effects

・ Strengthen strategic fields

In order to realize a safe and easy online learning environment and expand our business, we will add services to Numecent’s technology for efficient software distribution in the education segment where a remote learning environment is required.

In addition, we will also expand the products, technologies, and know-how provided here to other industry segments.

・ Mutual technical support between East and West technology bases

We aim to provide effective infrastructure and services to promote telework by strengthening cooperation between Rikei’s Technical & Engineering Center in Makuhari, Technology Department of Osaka Branch, and the Infrastructure Solution Lab which is Acsentech’s VDI and storage technology base.

・ Challenges to new fields

Bringing together the strengths of Rikei’s three core businesses (System Solutions, Network Solutions, and Electronic Components & Instruments) and the strengths of Asentech’s VDI technology, we aim to launch a new joint project to accelerate Japan’s work style reform through IT.
