BreezeACCESS VL is an FWA system for high-performance, high-speed, long-distance communications, which provides high-speed Internet service on behalf of ADSL or optical fiber. In areas designated as Structural Reform Special Districts, it can also be used for public business, broadcast business and general business other than telecommunications business. It supports the Japanese specifications for 5.030 – 5.091GHz, and 4.900 – 5.000GHz. It also has the security and QoS functions as the standard, which are must for wireless access.
Features
1) QoS
BreezeACCESS VL realizes SLA. This service supports 802.1p and ToS, making it possible to set CIR (Committed Information Rate)/MIR (Maximum Information Rate) for each subscriber and allowing you to provide fine-tuned service to each subscriber. Through settings of these parameters, you can make the most use of the effective bandwidth and provide fair service to your subscribers. (It is possible to make settings for upstream/downstream/each subscriber.)
2) Security
BreezeACCESS VL uses the RADIUS user authentication method and the TKIP encrypted communications system, enhancing security by automatically changing the "Key" per session, per fixed time length and per packet. As the encryption algorism, "AES" is adopted in addition to RC4 to provide very strong security.
3) VLAN Support
BreezeACCESS VL supports
"IEEE802.1q" VLAN. As the Subscriber Unit and Base Station Unit support Tagging/Untagging and as user recognition is possible from the Network side, you can provide high-level service.
4) Filtering
A variety of filtering such as protocol filtering, access restriction, service restriction, etc. is possible.
5) Automatic Power Control (ATPC)
BreezeACCESS VL monitors receive-signal strength at the Base Station from each subscriber, automatically controlling transmission power for each subscriber to the most suitable value. This saves the time for installation and makes it unnecessary to prepare a power meter at the time of subscriber installation.
6) Remote Management
You can make software upgrade via the wireless link, and can adapt to the frequency change which is to take place in 2007 or later. You can also apply remote reset to the initial value (settable) of Subscriber Units.
7) Management
BreezeACCESS VL supports SNMP management, providing easy management via "Enhanced Configuration Utility" (Multi-level password method) Receive-Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI: with LED), S/N ratio display, rate counter, LAN status, etc. can be monitored.
8) High-Speed, Long-Distance Communications, Communications in NLOS districts covered
The new 5GHz band for outdoor use realizes high-speed, long-distance communications by using clear frequencies with no cross talks unlike the ISM band such as IEEE 802.11a/b/g (2.4GHz), etc. which don't require any license. And using high power and VL technologies makes it possible to provide stable services to even NLOS districts.
