RIKEI STARTS TO SELL IBM-MADE "Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack."
Rikei Corporation (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Katsuei Aoyagi) has been selling IBM-made Tivoli Storage Manager as a backup solution for maintaining and securing corporate information assets. Rikei would like to announce that it starts to sell IBM Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack ("TSM FastBack" hereafter) to respond to user's further needs to continue Disk to Disk backup in order to get rid of the need to prepare and use a backup and to increase efficiency.
In companies, what is called non-structured data of OA files such as those of Web, images, e-mails, word processing etc. are increasing, and due to the need to meet laws/regulations and corporate compliance, the need to properly manage the life cycle of the data to be backed up and archived is also increasing. On the other hand, those responsible for the operation of IT-related systems are tasked with the responsibility of reducing system operation costs every year, so they have to find the best possible solutions which match their limited budgets.
